New Books
The PRC book list is on the PRC website and is updated each year. You can find all the books on the BOOK LISTS page. In 2021 there were over 130 new books added, including a number of classics that are easily accessible online, and free books from the Australian Children's Laureate
Ursula Dubosarsky and the UK National Literary Trust. With a range of books available free online, and the increased number of choice books, all students should be able to access some great literature to complete the challenge this year! We are constantly reviewing and evaluating new books for inclusion on the lists, and are planning a mid-term update of new books to the list this year to ensure that there are as wide a range as possible of easily accessible texts for students to read as part of their 2021 challenge. We would love to hear your suggestions either through our book suggestion form or by email.

The PRC student site is a great way for students to add books to their reading records from wherever they are! Students can search for books to read, add books to their reading logs, and track their progress throughout the challenge. You can find the site at https://online.det.nsw.edu.au/prc/studentExperience.html#/ and there is a help video available to demonstrate how the site works.

Our library has over 600 books that are on the PRC reading list. Go to the shelves and look for these stickers on the spine of the books.
Or go to your Oliver library page and see a list of our books under the ‘reading lists’ link. Scroll down to Premier’s Reading Challenge and click on that. It includes ebooks that you can read from your computer so you don't even have to set foot in the library! Which is a bit sad as we'd love to see you.
Need help to find a book? Great! Ask the teacher librarian. They love helping!
